Getting to Griffith Halls of Residence

Griffith Halls of Residence is located on the grounds of Griffith College Dublin.


D.I.T Aungier Street to Griffith College Dublin.
  • Come out of the college.
  • Turn right, proceed to traffic lights (out of town)
  • Take right turn at lights
  • Walk up Kevin Street, past Garda Station towards traffic lights( St.Patricks Cathedral on right), Y in the road keep left.
  • Turn left up Clanbrassil street proceed approx 500metres.
  • 2nd traffic lights = Leonards corner
  • Turn right
  • G.C.D – 100 metres on left.

D.I.T Kevin Street to Griffith College
  • Come out of college turn left.   
  • Walk up Kevin Street past Garda Station towards traffic lights (St.Patrick’s Cathdral on right), Y in the road, keep left.   
  • Cathedral on right), Y in the road keep left.
  • Turn left up Clanbrassil street proceed approx 500metres.
  • 2nd traffic lights = Leonards corner
  • Turn right
  • G.C.D – 100 metres on left.

Dublin Business School to Griffith College
  • Come out of college turn left.
  • Proceed up White Friar Street
  • Through lights to Aungier Street
  • As above from Aungier Street D.I.T
Or
  • Come out of college turn left.
  • Proceed up White Friar Street
  • Through lights to Aungier Street
  • Through lights to Wexford Street
  •  Through to Camden street.
  • Proceed to Brady’s Pharmacy, turn Right
  • Walk up Harrington Street
  • Through the lights to South Circular Road
  • Proceed through 2nd traffic lights @ Leonards Corner
  • Griffith College – 100 metres on left

  • Come out of college, turn right.
  • Proceed to traffic lights, go straight on up Wexford Street
  • Through to Camden street.
  • Proceed to Brady’s Pharmacy, turn Right
  • Walk up Harrington Street
  • Through the lights to South Circular Road
  • Proceed through 2nd traffic lights @ Leonards Corner
  • Griffith College – 100 metres on left

  • Come out of college, turn right.
  • Proceed to traffic lights, turn right.
  • Go straight on up Wexford Street

  • Come out of college, turn left.
  • Proceed up White Friar Street (past church)
  • Through lights up, Aungier Street.
  • 2nd traffic lights, turn right, proceed up Kevin Street.
  • At ‘Y’ in the road, take a left up New Bride Street.
  • Proceed up New Bride Street, which meets Heytsbury Street.
  • Reach Traffic Lights, Harrington Street Church on the left.
  • Turn Right.
  • Proceed up South Circular Road.
  • 2nd traffic lights = Leonards Corner
  • Go straight through, Griffith College = 100 mtres on left.

  • Come out of college, turn left.
  • Take first left up New Bride Street.
  • Proceed up New Bride Street, which meets Heytsbury Street.
  • Reach Traffic Lights, Harrington Street Church on the left.
  • Turn Right.
  • Proceed up South Circular Road.
  • 2nd traffic lights = Leonards Corner
  • Go straight through, Griffith College = 100 mtres on left.

Liberties College to Griffith College

  • Come out of college, turn right
  • Proceed down Bull Alley Street
  • Turn left up Patrick Street (@ St. Patrick’s Cathedral
  • Cross road @ traffic lights, Nash’s pub on left
  • Continue straight up Clanbrassil Street for 500mtres
  • 2nd Traffic lights = Leonards Corner, turn right
  • GCD – 100mtres on left.

NCAD to Griffith College
  • Come out of college, turn left.
  • Proceed up Thomas Street to Cornmarket
  • Cross at traffic lights to Highstreet.
  • Next traffic lights (Christchurch on left) turn right
  • Continue down the hill, Nicholas Street.
  • Through Lights, up Patrick Street.
  • Cross road @ traffic lights(immediately after St.Patrick’s Cathedral)
  • Continue up Clanbrassil Street, 500mtres
  • 2nd traffic lights – Leonard’s Corner, Turn Right.
  • GCD – 100 metres on left.

NCAD to Griffith College (Alternative Route)
  • Come out of college, cross road at traffic lights.
  • Continue straight up Francis Street to end
  • Turn Left
  • At traffic lights(opposite St Patrick’s Cathedral) turn right.
  • Continue straight for 500 metres up Clanbrassil Street.
  • At 2nd traffic lights turn right.
  • G.C.D 100metres on left.

Trinity to Griffith College
  • Come out of the main gates, Cross road immediately continue up Dame Street.
  • Walk 500metres in this direction, through 4 sets of traffic lights.
  • At 5th traffic lights(Jurys on left, Christchurch on right) veer left.
  • Continue down hill at Nicholas Street
  • Continue straight at traffic lights up Patrick Street.
  • Cross road at next traffic lights, Nash’s pub/St.Patrick’s Cathedral on left.
  • Continue up Clanbrassil Street, 500mtres
  • 2nd traffic lights – Leonard’s Corner, Turn Right.
  • GCD – 100 metres on left.
OR

Trinity to Griffith College
  • Come out of the main gates, cross the road and continue up Dame Street for 150 metres.
  • @ 2nd set of traffic lights Turn Left.
  • Continue Straight up Georges Street, through 2 sets of traffic lights, through these lights up White Friar Street
  • Through traffic lights to Aungier Street.
  • Through traffic lights to Wexford Street.
  • Continue straight to Camden Street.
  • Turn right at Kellys Corner (Bradys Pharmacy on right)
  • Continue straight up Harrington street.
  • Through traffic lights up South Circular Road.
  • Continue straight, through 2nd traffic lights G.C.D 100 metres on left.

D.I.T College of Music, Chatham Row to Griffith College
  • Come out of college, turn left up Chatham Row.
  • Turn left up Jonstons place. C
  • Continue up Mercer street lower to Mercer street Upper.
  • T-junction at end, turn right up Cuffe street.
  • At traffic lights, turn left up Wexford Street.
  • Continue straight to Camden Street.
  • Turn right at Kellys Corner (Bradys Pharmacy on right)
  • Continue straight up Harrington street.
  • Through traffic lights up South Circular Road.
  • Continue straight, through 2nd traffic lights G.C.D 100 metres on left.

Portobello College to Griffith College.
  • Come out of college, turn right.
  • Take immediate right. Continue straight up Richmond Row to end.
  • At T-Junction, turn left up Lennox Street.
  • Continue to end, T-Junction, turn right up Victoria Street.
  • Continue to end, turn left up South Circular Road.
  •  Go through traffic lights at Leonards Corner.
  • Continue straight, G.C.D - 100metres on left.

Portobello College to Griffith College (Alternative route)
  • Come out of college, turn left.
  • Take immediate left up South Richmond Street.
  • At traffic lights turn left.
  • Continue straight up Harrington Street.
  • Through traffic lights, continue straight up South Circular Road.
  • Go straight through 2nd traffic lights at Leonards Corner.
  • G.C.D - 100 metres on left.


D.I.T Rathmines to Griffith College
  • Come out of college, turn left.
  • Continue straight down Rathmines Road.
  • Take left at traffic lights before bridge.
  • Continue straight up canal to Harold’s Cross Bridge(first bridge).
  • Turn right at traffic lights.
  • Continue straight down Clanbrassil Street to Leonard’s Corner(first crossroads)
  • Turn left.
  • G.C.D - 100 metres on left.

D.I.T Rathmines to Griffith College(Alternative Route)
  • Come out of college turn left.
  • Continue straight down Rathmines Road.
  • Cross bridge at Portobello, take immediate left.
  • Take immediate right, Continue straight up Richmond Row to end.
  • At T-Junction, turn left up Lennox Street.
  • Continue to end, T-Junction, turn right up Victoria Street.
  • Continue to end, turn left up South Circular Road.
  • Go through traffic lights at Leonards Corner.
  • Continue straight, G.C.D - 100metres on left.


D.I.T Rathmines to Griffith College ( Final alternative Route)
  • Come out of college, turn left.
  • Continue straight down Rathmines Road.
  • Cross Portobello Bridge.
  • Continue straight down South Richmond Street to Kellys Corner.
  • Turn left.
  • Continue straight up Harrington street.
  • Through traffic lights up South Circular Road.
  • Continue straight, through 2nd traffic lights G.C.D 100 metres on left.


The College is situated just 1km from the city centre on Dublin‘s south side.


Bus routes serving Griffith College are 16, 16A, 19, 19A, 49, 49A, 56A, 122, 210.
